A Socialist Sensation in Colne Valley – Derek Forwood (1963)

This is an article Derek Forwood submitted to the New Statesman in 1963 about Victor Grayson’s Colne Valley election victory in 1907. In ’63 the Colne Valley was the scene of another by-election, won by Labour’s Pat Duffy. This is also the period when Forwood was in the constituency gathering information on Grayson and interviewing some of those who knew him.
